3RD - 4TH GRADE

NELC's goal for our 3rd and 4th grade players is to grow and develop lacrosse skills and love of the game in a fun, exciting and age appropriate way.  We will focus on basic skill development, teamwork and sportsmanship.

COACHING

The NELC has a goal to provide every child the opportunity to play lacrosse.  We rely on volunteer coaches to make that happen. If you are willing to help, please click below.  We have a training program for new coaches, so no lacrosse experience is necessary.

2021 REGISTRATION FEES

FALL SEASON

Registration for all players is $70.

Registration includes practice only for the fall season.

New players will be assessed an additional $28 practice pennie fee.

Tournament play and fees are not included in the Niceville fall season registration.

Participation in any fall tournaments will be facilitated by individual team coaches and separate tournament fees will be assessed for tournament play.

SEASONS

NELC offers a fall and spring season.  Our fall season runs from September through November and our spring season runs from January through May.  See our schedule page for more information.

PRACTICES

3rd-4th grade players attend one weekly 75-minute practice in the fall and two weekly 75-minute practices in the spring.  Practice times and location will be sent out to your player by each team's volunteer coach.

GAMES

3rd-4th grade game play will consist of 6 total players per team (5 field players and a goalie).  Games will consist of two 22-minute running time halves, with a 5-minute halftime period.

The fall season games are played during a single two-day fall tournament usually held in Fort Walton Beach in early November.  The tournament includes 2-3 games of pool play on Saturday and 1-3 games of single elimination play on Sunday.

The spring season games are played during several one-day jamborees generally held on Saturdays between Panama City and Mobile.  The jamborees include 2-3 games for each team.  The spring season concludes with one or more tournaments.  The tournaments are two-day events and consist of 2-3 games of pool play on Saturday and 1-3 games of single elimination play on Sunday.

UNIFORMS

Our team uniform will stay the same every season.  If you have played with us anytime since spring 2020, you will be able to re-use your existing uniform and will not need to purchase a uniform during registration.  If you are a new player or returning player that played prior to the 2020 spring season, you will purchase your new uniform during registration.

Returning players will have the option to purchase individual uniform items to replace any items if needed.

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT

The following equipment is required for all girls lacrosse players and must be brought to practice:

Lacrosse stick, goggles, mouth guard and cleats.  Please see the player information section of our FAQS page for more information.
